Been A While...

Greetings Friends & Family...

I haven't been very good about updating this blog.
Christmas was really wonderful this year. Sam's first. My Mom and Eric stayed with us for 5 days. It was a little sad to see them go yesterday. I thought I would post a few pictures from the Christmas weekend. Me and Sam on Christmas Eve night...

Sam loved opening presents, loved the wrapping paper, and by the end of Christmas Day night, she was getting the hang of ripping open the packages. (And trying to eat the paper, of course).
It was so cute.

My Grandma Wickens and my brother Chris stayed the night on the 24th,along with my Mom & Eric. I made dinner. It was warm & cozy. Here is "Grandma the Great"

Santa brought me a sewing machine!! And he brought Josh a power washer!!!
Sammi got lots of cool toys!

Christmas Morning, we opened the rest of Sam's presents since she crashed out after the first present Christmas Eve. Here she is seeing all her gifts Christmas Morning.

Check out Sam (literally) drooling over this giftShe got a baby doll, and as Josh said, by the look of her in this shot, it's a good thing she doesn't have a little sister or brother yet!

We received a couple of special packages from Iowa, one from Aunt Lynda which was some fabulous clothes for her little "Cricket", and one was from Ben & Kerry, which was a BUNCH of cool books, a Minnie plush, and some really cute outfits. I'll post a video that my Mom took of us opening the Iowa stuff Christmas Morning.

Here is Daddy with Sam, opening another present.
It was a musical (glow worm-like) plush sea horse. Its little belly glows a soft light and it plays soft lullabies for over 5 minutes (thanks, Santa)

After presents at our house, we went over to my dad's house, and did presents with them. They got us a digital picture frame (very cool).
Pop-Pop getting some Christmas sugar from Sammi, and playing with Rudolph.
Santa Claus also left some things at Grannie and Pop-Pop's for Sam.
Sam's first LAPTOP!!!!!!

After hanging at my Dad's for the afternoon, we headed over to Uncle Jon & Aunt Shar's house for (an amazingly scrumptious) dinner, and gifts. Sam and Henry missed each other because Sam was asleep when we got there, and slept in the bedroom for a while, and by the time she woke up and Momma fed her, we came out and Henry had crashed out. But, Grandma had fun playing with Sammie, and we couldn't believe how long she lasted in a good mood, well past her bedtime! It was a lovely evening with family and friends.

The "grown-up" table

The Wickens Girls
Sam got a pink armchair from Laura, HutcH & Henry!!!

And a picture of us around the tree before my Mom went back to Lansing yesterday.

Next up, 2009!
